Kenneth Jay Lane horse and hound set with faux pearls. This demi parure is gorgeous being composed of a necklace and earrings that has gold toned metal with pewter colored enameling as well as some gorgeous gemstone accents. The pin is formed to look like a horse and hound playing together and is made up of the horse collar which has eight turquoise colored glass beads bezel set in it. Below this is a section of 10 pave set white rhinestones around the neck of the horse. The animal has a bezel set green marquise cut gemstone for it's eye and a row of beautiful imitation pearls running through the middle of it's body section. The rest of the pin has a few bezel set oval and round shaped glass cabochons of green, orange, and blue colors as well as two square brilliant cut gemstones that are pink and purple. The back of this item has a nice pin and clasp closure that holds well and the signature "Kenneth c.Lane" is within an oval cartouche on the back as well. The pin measures 2" long by 2 1/4" in width. The earrings are made up of a looping gold toned metal that has a pewter enameling over it with beautiful glass cabochons of coral tone, navy blue, turquoise color, green and red. There are also two square brilliant cut amber colored gemstones set in the earrings as well. The inside of the loop is signed "Kenneth c.Lane" and the clip backs holds very well. The earrings measure 1 1/4" long by 1 1/4" in width and the set has no problems with it as it comes from a collection of K.J.L. jewelry that has never been worn. A wonderful 1980s Kenneth Jay Lane imitation pearl and pewter enameled horse and hound pin and earrings.
