A superb item in the form of the head of a roaring tiger made by Hattie Carnegie. This item is featured in Georgiana McCall's 2005 book entitled "Hattie Carnegie Jewelry: Her Life and Legacy". The fantastic book piece is composed of a gold tone brushed metal in the form of a ferocious roaring tiger. This tiger has white enamel for teeth with white rhinestones pave set into the left and right of the tiger's snout. The side of the tiger's face is covered in black enameling to add a great quality of appearance. In between each enamel section is a row of white rhinestones of different sizes. The tigers eye is a green glass cabochon that gives this creature a searing glare. The back of the tiger's head shows off the gold tone brushed metal and the signature "Hattie Carnegie" is on the back center in an oval cartouche next to a copyright symbol. The back also has a loop allowing for a ring and hook which gives this piece the ability to serve as a belt or a pendant to a necklace. This item has a long and gold tone metal chain that serves as a belt but it can be worn as a necklace too. The pendant measures 2" long by 2 1/2" wide and the chain measures 36 1/2" long including the gold tone metal tassels at
the very end. This tiger pendant is in almost perfect condition except for a little bit of wear on the white enamel over the teeth but nothing that takes from the overall beauty and elegance of this timeless Hattie Carnegie masterpiece.
