Hattie Carnegie tiger pendant belt. This amazing item was received by us in the form of a belt. The centerpiece is a high end Hattie Carnegie pendant that is featured in Georgiana McCall's 2005 book entitled "Hattie Carnegie Jewelry: Her Life and Legacy". This fantastic book piece is composed of a gold toned brushed metal in the form of a ferocious roaring tiger. This tiger has white enameled teeth with lovely white rhinestones pave set into the left and right of the tiger's snout. The side of the tiger's face is covered in black enameling to add a gorgeous quality of appearance. In between each enameled section is a row of lovely white rhinestones of different sizes but all are accounted for and in fantastic shape. The tigers eye is a lovely green glass cabochon that gives this creature a searing glare. The back of this tiger head shows off the lovely gold toned brushed metal and the signature "Hattie Carnegie" is on the back center in an oval cartouche next to a copyright symbol. The back also has a loop allowing for a ring to slide through as well as a hook which gives this piece the ability to serve as a belt or a pendant to a necklace. This extravagant pendant has a long and luxurious gold toned metal chain that serves as a belt but you can use it for a necklace. This item is a creative piece of jewelry that can be used for many different purposes. The pendant measures 2" long by 2 1/2" wide and the chain measures 36 1/2" long including the gold toned metal tassels at the very end.
This tiger pendant is in almost perfect condition except for a little bit of wear on the white enameled teeth but nothing that takes away from the overall beauty and elegance of this timeless Hattie Carnegie masterpiece. Another phenomenal piece by Carnegie that can be used three different ways,as a broach, a pendent, or a belt.
