Multi-stand glass pearl necklaces like this one were incredibly popular in the 1930s, ‘40s, and ‘50s. You’d think they would be readily available today, but it’s very difficult to find them in good shape. This necklace, though, has withstood the test of time and survived in excellent condition. The beads themselves are a creamy off-white and are graduated in size from about 2-1/2 to 6-1/2 mm. The box clasp has a lovely filigree and milgrain pattern and is marked STERLING-S. The shortest strand is 15-1/2” (choker length). Condition is excellent.
