A lovely little volume of 25 reproductions of original watercolors by Bertha Spafford Vester, botanist and artist (1878 – 1968). A leader in the American colony in Jerusalem and founder of the Spafford Children’s Center in 1925, Mrs. Spafford’s life story is fascinating; high points are included in a biographical sketch by Lowell Thomas and notes by Norman Vincent Peale in the book. The color plates of the artworks are beautiful. This is a nice clean copy with dust jacket. No writing, stains or inscriptions. Jacket is in fair shape with minor tears around the edges and normal wear-and-tear due to handling. The book itself in in very good condition, with only minor wear to the corners. The hardcover book was published in 1964 by Hallmark Cards. Dimensions: 5-1/2 by 7-3/4”.
