Good things come in small packages. This petite treasure is an 8-day Gubelin manual-wind travel clock from the 1960s and measures approximately 1-3/4 by 1-5/8”. The overall look is sleek and stylish: gold plate with black enamel. This luxury timepiece is well marked with Gubelin and the Gubelin logo on the face of the clock and Ipso Vox and Swiss Made also on the lower part of the face. The serial number (806100) is on the back. The clock fits into a small leather case for safekeeping. The clock flips open to create its own stand. The bale is connected to a pocket watch chain (detachable and not part of the original watch) so it can be used as an elegant pocket watch as well. Gubelin was especially ingenious with the alarms in its travel clocks: in this one, the center of the face rotates to set the alarm time. This beautiful timepiece is in excellent condition and keeps accurate time.
