Antique Sterling Silver Jelly Knife c. 1895
This fabulous jelly knife is sterling silver by Wallace, in the “Sapho” pattern. It is expertly crafted with wonderful detailing on the handle as well as the bowl. Measuring 7-1/2 in length and 1-1/2 inches across the bowl.
Jelly knives were used to serve molded jelly, such as jelly (jello), jellied cranberry sauce or aspic. A serving of
jelly is cut with the flat edge, which then allows it to slide off easily on to the plate. In excellent condition with very few minor surface scratches. Truly a beautiful piece of serving silver.
