Here we have an amazing German porcelain figural cup and saucer, decorated at the studio of Karl Richard Klemm Striesen bei Dresden. 1886-1916. this set is decorated in cobalt blue and gold with an image of a lovely young couple in a small cartouche. There is gold scrolls surrounding the cartouche and inside the cup has delicate gold detailing. The saucer has lovely floral inserts surrounded by gold scroll work. The handle of the cup appears to have had some repair work done to it, as seen in the pictures. Klemm’s mark is on the bottom of both pieces, and the cup also has the beehive marking, this set was likely made in the late 19th or early 20th century. I have priced this piece taking the repair in to consideration.
