This sterling silver Art Deco confections spoon was created by Wallace when their name was R. Wallace & Sons Mfg Co. The company was founded in 1833 in Cheshire, CT, USA. Robert Wallace was the son of a Scottish immigrant, who was also a silversmith. The spoon measures 4-3/4 inches long and the bowl is large, and measures 2 inches across. The pattern is “Dauphine” which was introduced in 1916. There is definitely an Art Deco look to the spoon. It has gorgeous cut work of flowers and scrolls. The handle shape is quite unique and lovely in its simplicity.
