Here we have a wonderful Paragon China tea set in cobalt blue with fabulous gold embossed edging. It has the royal warrant granted for Queen Mary in 1933. Royal Warrants were designed to represent patronage by the British Royal family. Originally the warrant even named the royal personage and meant that their wares had been purchased (or received from the company as a gift and approved) by the royal person named. This wonderful set has deep cobalt and gold embossed band of scrolls and flowers, with a medallion in the centre on the inside of the footed cup. The outside of the cup is white with the embossed gold band and edging. The saucer also has a matching deep gold band of cobalt and gold with the inner gold medallion and gold band edging. Both pieces are scalloped. This tea set is exceptional and a beautiful treasure for the tea set collector.
