Five wonderful earthenware dinner plates with beautiful rose bouquet and a deep red hand painted border and scalloped gold edging. The center rose medallion is surrounded by a lovely yellow border. There are no chips or cracks on the plates and the painting and detail work is in excellent condition with very little wear. They do have some crazing, but this does not in any way detract from the attractiveness of the plates. The maker is Johnson Brothers England with a crown and the letters BY and the pattern name Pareek. I think the plates date to around 1930's. These could be used on a wall for display, or, for any special dining occasion.
