I am offering a great antique porcelain figural inkwell. I believe this is Staffordshire, or German. There are numerical markings on the underside of the top. As you can see the lively figural scene covers an inkwell duo underneath. The wells contain porcelain cylinders which slip out for cleaning. The piece is heavy, weighing 5 1/2 pounds. With the top in place over the inkwells, it measures 8 3/4" wide x 7 1/2" deep, x 6 3/4" tall. Condition issues are pictured, including a flake of glaze off the back of a chair, loss of the fingertips of the gentleman, loss of gilting, an apparent 1/4" chip off the side of the inkwell (covered with gold paint), a little roughness and flaking on the bottom edge of the figural lid, and maybe loss of 2 handles of the tea set (I am uncertain if they were ever present). This is a fantastic piece, even with it's condition issues. I will ship priority USPS. I highly recommend insurance.
