I am offering for your consideration, an interesting Edwardian manicure kit. It is comprised of a nail brush and a nail buffer with carved ebony handles. The pieces are housed in a cylindrical ebony case with a screw top The case has a second tiny compartment at the top with a screw lid, as well. It weighs 2 ounces and is 4 1/4" long x 1 1/4" diameter. The brush and file is 2 3/4" long; the nail buffer is 3 1/8" x 7/8" wide. The top lid has a sticker on the inside that is dated 1913.
Note that the case has a crack in the mid section 1" in length that also continues across the top of the compartment. There are also has separation of the grain which appears as cracking.
