Purchased at an estate auction, and up for your consideration is an telescoping cheroot / cigar / cigarette holder in a tiny vessel / container. Research indicates this is from the Edwardian era.
The entire piece would have been used as a fob, and could be used in contemporary fashion as a charm or a pendant.
The case is 7/8" x 1/2"; the cigar holder is 1 3/8" long x 1/2" x 3/8". It exhibits some loss of gold on the angles and some tiny dents here or there.
