This antique red and white English Staffordshire transferware plate dates from about 1830. It was made by Adams and his impressed mark is on the back. This particular "Temple Warriors" pattern is discussed on page 674 of Staffordshire II by Williams and Weber, where it is correctly attributed to William Adams and Sons. This plate is 9 inches in diameter and in pristine condition. See my other listings for pieces in this pattern.
