This antique sterling mug is decorated with the pattern called "Children's Parade." Children of various nationalities are shown in great detail carrying toys, musical instruments, and other items and are marching around the mug. The scene goes all the way around and does not repeat itself. This wonderful band of children is 1.5 inches wide. The mug or cup itself is 3.5 inches tall and 2.75 inches across the opening. Engraved on one side is the name "Elizabeth." Below that is engraved "Christmas 1900." On the bottom is the sterling mark and the various Tiffany marks. The use of the letter T indicates that the piece was made between 1891 and 1902. The piece is very heavy, weighing 8.2 ounces on a postal scale. This is the finest sterling mug or cup ever made for children by Tiffany.
