This stunning child's mug or cup was made by Tiffany, and it has the quality Tiffany represents. The design is called "Children's Parade" and depicts children holding flags, musical instruments, toys, and other items while marching around the mug. The detail is remarkable. The band of decoration is 1.5 inches wide and the design, going all the way around, does not repeat. There are a couple of minor dings, as would be expected from a child's piece of silver. The name, "Victoire Marie Jasigi", is engraved at the top. On the bottom of the mug are the sterling and Tiffany & Co. marks, as well as a pattern number and order number. The piece was made between 1875 and 1891, as can be determined form the capital "M" mark, following the Tiffany tradition of using the initial of the head of the firm to date pieces made under his leadership. The height is 3.5 inches and the diameter opening is 2.75 inches. It is a very heavy sterling mug, weighing 8.6 ounces on a postal scale.
