Here is a spectacular antique plateau. It is very large: 17 inches across at the base and 13 inches across the mirrored top. There are wonderful leaf designs accenting each foot. What is remarkable is its height of 4.5 inches. It has a solid wooden bottom, indicating a quality piece from the past. The silver plate is in fine condition, with very little wear. The last picture shows an example of how the plateau can be used for displaying small items from your own collection. We have photographed the plateau with our personal collection of glass paperweights. and used it as a dining table centerpiece. The plateau is equally stunning as the base for a flower arrangement or single orchid, or, alternatively, as a mirrored display space for your personal collection of perfume bottles, crystal or china figurines, small boxes or other miniatures. We also like the plateau for vignettes featuring a small painting on an easel, a slender vase with one perfect bloom, a miniature antique book, and a single special object.
