This lovely English Staffordshire creamer dates from the first half of the 19th century. It has a polychrome Oriental pattern. The design has a wonderful naive quality; note the giant, luscious fruits and the over-sized glove of the falconer. A nice detail is the design on the inside of the spout. The creamer is 5 inches from front to back and is just under 4 inches tall. The width is 2 inches. Several generations have taken remarkably good care of this fine piece. There is some discoloration on the inside bottom but no chips, cracks, or repairs. See detailed pictures for condition. Most striking about this piece is how vivid the colors are after more than 170 years.
