This 4 1/8 inch tall early American pattern glass (EAPG) has a unique shape. The base of the tumbler has a starburst pattern in its center and deep gilded thumbprints around the bottom perimeter. Although the gilding shows some wear, it adds a distinctive touch to the appearance of the glass, looking from both the exterior and the interior. There are remnants of gilding around the top section of the glass. Around the body of the glass are 6 three fingered designs. This is a very heavy glass, weighing 13.1 ounces, almost a pound. The diameter of the base is 3 inches. There is a small raised bit on the base from the making. Around the upper band there are straw marks in the glass as is often the case with older pressed glass.
