This colorful cup and matching saucer is in the Pekin pattern, or as we would say today, Peking. It was made by Thomas G. Booth and is marked T.G.B. It dates to the period 1883-1891. This is a large cup and saucer set. The diameter of the saucer is 6.25 inches. The cup is 3 inches tall and 3.5 inches across the top. The vivid pattern continues all the way around the cup as the photographs indicate. Both pieces are in outstanding condition. There is not a chip or crack anywhere that I can see. A light spot near the handle is slight loss of the red paint and not damage. Someone has taken extremely good care of this set in its life of 130 years or so.
