This lovely antique English Mintons oyster plate is from the aesthetic Period--1870-1890. The decoration of fans and koi would justify that designation and also its exotic pattern name, "Bombay", which is written below the Mintons logo. The plate is has a diameter of 10 inches, plus a center sauce well and a larger side well, usually called a cracker well. The colors are vivid and the plate is in pristine condition. There is a printed mark on the back as well as an impressed mark, "MINTONS", (both shown in pictures). The impressed marks include the registration mark which identifies the date of manufacture. This is hard to read, but Mintons' own date mark, the triangle with a vertical line inside, dates the oyster plate to 1890. If you like blue and white, you will love this oyster plate. This oyster plate is pictured on page 57 of the reference book, "Collecting Oyster Plates", by Jeffrey Snyder.
