This is a fine antique ironstone oyster plate in blue and white. The blue is a deep, rich cobalt appearing in a garland of leaves encircling the oyster plate. In the center is cross-hatching, with the capital letter "D. C." superimposed. The plate is 9 inches across at the widest point and 7.75 inches across at the narrowest point. The maker's mark is shown in the last picture. The impressed mark reads "Greenwood China, Trenton, N.J." The condition of the oyster plate is excellent. The impressed mark dates the oyster plate to the late 19th century. In my research, I haven't been able to identify the central "D. C." logo. I would appreciate any information you may have.
