Pale as a robin's egg; sprinkled with gilt; circling a nest of wells........Here is a French Haviland & Co. turkey oyster plate in a rarely seen color. If your collection contains some turkey plates, this is likely one you don't have. Note that it was made for Davis Collamore and Co, Broadway and 21st Street, New York City, an upper class retailer in the late 19th century. Above the retailer's mark it says Haviland & Co. This mark was used between 1879 and 1873. The oyster plate is 8.5 inches in diameter and in pristine condition.
