This wonderful pair of sterling napkin rings was made by the illustrious Sheffield firm of Atkin Brothers. Both napkin rings have an ornate cartouche with the monogram "K". The diameter of the opening is 1.75 inches and the width is also 1.75 inches. The work on these was clearly done by an expert silversmith. They both have a full set of hallmarks showing the sterling mark (the lion), the city mark (crown for Sheffield), the date letter (Gothic c for 1895), and the mark for the maker (HA for Harry Atkin, later known as the Atkin Brothers). The napkin rings are in their original box with the name and city of the retailer shown (see next to last picture). Inscribed in the lid is Kenworthys Ltd., Diamond Merchants, Jewellers and Silversmiths, Ashton, Manchester. The napkin rings are not only large but, as one might expect, quite heavy. Together they weigh 4.8 ounces on a postal scale.
