There is amazing workmanship in this mixed metals (silver and gilded silver) coin silver napkin ring. Inside it is marked "S 1035." In forty years of collecting napkin rings I have never seen one like this. This is a double walled napkin ring with a smooth interior. The exterior is composed of vertical rods with tiny beading between each rod. As if the rods were a bundle of stems a "ribbon" with realistic folds seems to tie the napkin ring together. There is a diamond shaped cartouche with four buttons at each corner. The ribbon loops around two of the buttons. The cartouche bears a double letter monogram. The diameter opening is 1.75 inches and the width is also 1.75 inches. The napkin ring weighs 65.5 grams or 2.30 ounces. The napkin ring is in oustanding condition and weighs double what most napkin rings weigh.
