This fine sterling pair of English napkin rings is in its original box from a goldsmith in Tunbridge Wells, England. The napkin rings themselves were made in Chester and have that city's mark. The sterling mark is also quite clear but the mark for the date letter is too light to read. The maker's mark is shown with the hallmarks. They likely date from the first quarter of the 20th century. Each napkin ring has an opening of 1.75 inches and is 1.25 inches wide. The pair weighs 2 ounces on a postal scale. Both are in excellent condition with no dents or scratches.
