This lovely sterling napkin ring is reticulated or pierced on the top and flat on the bottom. It has beautifully designed peonies on the semicircular part. There is an ornate single initial, "C", monogrammed in the oval cartouche. The ring has a full set of English hallmarks: the sterling mark (lion passant), the mark for Birmingham (anchor), the year letter for 1929, "E", and the maker's mark, "W&H" for Walker and Hall. The firm of Walker and Hall is known for its quality work in silver. This napkin ring has good weight at 29.5 g. or 1.04 ounce, and is 2 inches across the bottom, and 1.25 inches high. The napkin ring is in fine condition.
