This charming American sterling napkin ring has a large applied oval consisting of a detailed winged cherub on the left ; the cherub holds a rose garland, which forms the perimeter of the oval. The oval forms a cartouche for a name and indeed the name "Emmie" appears inside. The napkin ring is marked sterling inside and also has the mark of Woodside Sterling Company of New York City, active around 1900. An additional feature of this fine ring is the set of four feet which allows it to sit upright and not roll. The diameter opening is 1.75 inches and the width is also 1.75 inches. There are a couple of minor dings from use commensurate with age. The napkin ring weighs 1.4 ounces on an accurate postal scale.
