This elegant coin silver napkin ring was made before the American sterling standard was formally adopted. It dates from the 1870's or 1880's. The shape is hexagonal but the design is simple: beading around the top and bottom. The weight is 22.4 g. or 0.8 oz. The name "Vance" has been engraved on one of the six panels. There are a couple of small dings as one would expect from a napkin ring of this age but nothing of any consequence.
