This wonderful sterling souvenir spoon has an inscribed date of Xmas '08, that is, Christmas 1908. The spoon commemorates New Orleans and is loaded with images of that fine city. To mention a few: Cotton Exchange, Court House, St. Louis Cathedral, Jackson Monument, Old Gateway, and there are others. The spoon is 5.75 inches long and has a lovely gold wash i9n the bowl (with initial B). The Christmas inscription is on the back of the bowl. The work on the silver is highly detailed and the spoon is very heavy for sterling, weighing 1.1 ounces on a postal scale. The mark of the maker Watson is shown in one of the pictures. The spoon is in excellent condition.
