Fan designs are on both sides of this antique cobalt majolica teapot. The fans are pebbles white for the leaves and gold for the sticks. One of the fans is decorated with pink blooms and a pinwheel. The other has one large white bloom and one small pink flower as well as a pinwheel. Both fans have lovely flying birds on them. The handle and the spout are squared off gold bands. The interior of the pot, which shows some crazing, is rose toned. On the bottom we see crazing. Neither the lid nor the body of the teapot has chips or hairlines. The colors are vivid - a striking majolica teapot. The height with lid is 6 inches. The distance from tip of spout to tip of handle is 8.25 inches.
