Unmarked, but from the era, and in the style of the Wavecrest, this is a large size vanity, or powder jar, measuring 3&3/4 inches tall, and 5 inches in diameter. There is no lining, and does nor appear to have been any, so may have been intended as a powder jar. The white frosted glass is decorated with artfully, hand painted enamel, white flowers and green leaves. It has a serene water scene in the center. The ocean, or a lake with a small sailing ship. The hinged lid has a brass neck, and snap closure. The band is slightly off center, and so when the heavy lid is open, it doesn't free stand. Thus, the low price. It is in excellent condition, with just minor wear to the brass finish, and gold leaf trim paint. No chips, or cracks. Early 1900s.
