Exceptionally nice, World War II era goldtone locket with the US Navy emblem on the front, and an American eagle forms the bar for the pin back. It measures about 2&1/4 inches tall, by 2 inches wide when the heart shaped locket is closed. I don't believe it was ever removed from the crushed, red velvet presentation box before I took it out for these photos. I've included close up photos to show the "Coro" mark. In these photos it looks like there is pitting to the gold tone finish, but in reality, there is very little wear. I would consider the brooch in mint condition, and the box in excellent condition, with minor storage wear to the gold foil bottom. Circa 1940s. PLEASE NOTE THAT THE PHOTOS ARE ENLARGED, TO SHOW DETAIL.
