Let me start by saying that because I didn't want a glare in the photos, I didn't clean this gorgeous bracelet before taking the pictures. Since, I used a simple, mild, jewelry dip and can't believe the depth and beauty of that large glass stones. I call them, "glass", but don't know. Crystal? It doesn't seem that simple glass would be so artfully cut, and set in sterling silver. Some of the tarnish was removed from the sterling silver when it was cleaned, but there is still a a fair amount of age patina/tarnish. I will let the new owner decide which finish she prefers. The 7, large, prong set stones are each held in an ornate, silver setting. The tops are smooth domes. The bottoms have been diamond cut, and from the top, each stone looks like it has a large star in the center. Stunning, and very sparkly. The bracelet measures 7 inches long, and has a simple, old style hooked clasp (marked sterling) that is solid and secure. There are no maker's marks. The style and material suggest it was made in the 1920s-30s, but its 7 inch length implies it was made at a later date. It certainly could have been custom made in the longer length, but not knowing its history makes giving it actual specifics as to age impossible. Nonetheless, this is a beautiful piece of vintage jewelry. It is in excellent condition. PLEASE NOTE THAT PHOTOS ARE ENLARGED TO SHOW DETAIL!
