This very heavy, Victorian looking vanity box is divided into two sides, each with an independent lid that opens to the center. The compartments are somewhat shallow, and I wonder if it was intended as a powder box? It is 2&1/8 inches tall, with the lids down, 5&1/2 inches wide, and about 3 inches deep. It is marked on the bottom with a name I can't make out, "Made in Portugal", and MMA. Researching, I found that the, "MMA" stands for the Metropolitan Museum of Art", New York, and that this is a replica of an antique box that was made to sell in their gift shop in the 1980s. This small, ornate box is very heavy, weighing 1 pound, before packing.
I currently have several other vanity items in my shop, including other trinket and jewelry boxes, and am happy to combine shipping. To see them all, type the word, "vanity", in the California Girls search box at the top of this page
