Highly detailed, double brass inkwell that has its two, original, porcelain inserts. It was made in Japan for Bosselman (New York) who sold inkwells that were souvenirs of many popular places in the United States. This one represents Washington, D.C., and has an image of the Capitol Building on the lid. It measures 4&1/2 inches wide by by 3&1/2 deep, and 1 inch tall, with the hinged lid down. It's clean and in excellent condition. Circa 1920s-30s.
