Stamped in the mold on the back of this sitting Buddha incense burner is, "c 1939...Made in USA". He is made of chalk, and airbrush painted red with gold accents. There is a tin bowl that sits in the chalk bowl he is holding. Somewhere over the years, he cost 25 cents, which is hand written on the bottom. The tin bowl shows wear, but to me, it's amazing it's here at all after almost 80 years. It is all original, with no paint touch ups. There is a small paint rub on the back, bottom of his robe, and a scar that looks like glue once held an emblem, or sticker, on his chest. Other than the noted wear, it is in excellent, vintage condition with no chips or cracks. He measures 5 inches tall.
