As I write this, I have the chef cookie jar listed in my shop, that was also sold by the National Silver Co., during the same time. This is a highly collectable, vintage 1930s-40s pottery cookie jar that was sold by the National Silver Company. They did not make their own pottery, but sold and distributed it. This lovely Mammy is 9 inches tall, and is in very good condition. On the bottom there is some roughness, that feels like sand under the clear glaze. This would have been done when it was made. On the underside of the rim of the lid are two small chips. I have included several photos, including close ups of the chips. These flaws have been taken into consideration, and are reflected in the low price. I apologize for the high shipping, but this almost over 3 pounds, before careful packing.
I have several pieces of vintage Black Americana in my shop, and am happy to combine shipping and insurance on multiple purchases. To see them all, type "Black Americana" in the search box on the top of this page.
If you are ordering more than 1 item from my shop, wait to pay until I send back an invoice with the combined shipping discount.
