Art Deco, stylized, rearing horses metal bookends that were designed by Gladys Brown Edwards, and made by the Ray E. Dodge metal works company. They are 5&1/2 inches tall, by 4&1/2 wide, and are meade of heavy metal that has a bronze/copper finish. They have protective, green felt bottoms, and one still has the Dodge label on the bottom. Although they are not marked Gladys Brown Edwards, they can be found on page 139 of the Carolyn Martin collector's book, "Gladys Brown Edwards Equine Works in Metal". Both show some surface wear to the finish, and one is ever so slightly darker than the other.
I currently have several other metal horse pieces in my shop, and am happy to combine shipping. Some with riders, or a jockey, and some without. Some Western. Some racing, some Western, and some with no theme. To see them all, type the word, "horse" in the California Girls search box at the top of the page.
If you are ordering more than 1 item from my shop, wait to pay until I send back an invoice with the combined shipping discount.
