So cute, and in unbelievably great condition for a fragile, glass figurine that is over 100 years old. There are a couple of small scuffs, and very minor wear to the gold, paint trim. All ear tips are intact! Two pink pigs have apparently stowed away in a piece of luggage, and are ready to travel. This piece measures 3&1/2 inches tall, by 4&1/2 wide.
Highly collectible today, these figurines were exported to the United States, and other countries, and sold at train stations, and other tourist destinations, as souvenirs, often with the name of the town, or state. This one has no town stamp. They were also given away at local fairs, and thus the term, "Fairing". This one has no mark, dating it prior to 1903.
I currently have other German, pink pigs, as well as other German "fairing" animal figurines in my shop, and am happy to combine shipping. To see them all, type, "Germany fairing" in the California Girls search box at the top of the page.
If you are ordering more than 1 item from my shop, wait to pay until I send back an invoice with the combined shipping discount.
