Circa 1930s-1940s, this is a large, redware clay bowl that has a lid, and a clay handle on each side. It has an intricate etched pattern around the bowl, and also on the lid of lizards, butterflies, and more of the design that is on the bowl. It's good size, measuring 5&1/2 inches tall, with the lid on (4 inches without the lid), and just under 8 inches in diameter, not including the handles. It's very heavy, weighing 3&1/2 pounds, before packing. There are no chips, cracks, or repairs except for a couple of dings on the lid's top knob.
I currently have several pieces of vintage Native American pieces in my shop, including other baskets, jewelry and pottery. As always.....I am happy to combine shipping, when it is safe to do so. To see them all, type, "Indian" in the California Girls search box at the top of this page.
If you are ordering more than 1 item from my shop, wait to pay until I send back an invoice with the combined shipping discount.
