Recently, I attended an antiques auction at a reputable auction house that specializes, in part, in vintage and antique, Native American items and artifacts. Although my knowledge in this field is limited, I am using, in part, their trusted, abbreviated descriptions.... Vintage museum Quality, 1920s-40s San Ildefonso Pueblo (New Mexico) pottery. It measures 12&1/2 inches tall, and about 9 inches in diameter across the center. It is in excellent condition, showing just minor rubs to the black on black finish, and just beautiful. I apologize for the high shipping, but it weighs over 4 pounds, before packing, and will require a lot of padding and a large box to insure safe delivery. Although I accept returns, please ask any questions, or request additional photos before making your purchase, as this would be a cumbersome, and expensive return. I know that there were a few tribes that used this black on black method, and am relying on the description from the auction house, as I have no independent knowledge, or expertise.
I currently have several pieces of vintage Native American pieces in my shop, including baskets, jewelry and other pottery. As always.....I am happy to combine shipping, when it is safe to do so. To see them all, type, "Indian" in the California Girls search box at the top of this page.
If you are ordering more than 1 item from my shop, wait to pay until I send back an invoice with the combined shipping discount.
