Delicate, engraved design on the front of this antique, sterling silver needle case that measures just under 3 inches, not including the bale. There is a safety chain connecting the lid to the case. It has a large bale, and could have been used as a chatelaine piece, or worn on chain as a pendant. Marked, ".925". There are no other marks. I believe it is French, but it could also be from England. Excellent condition. Circa 1880s-1900.
