Fabulous piece of German pottery, circa 1930s. The smiling lady is holding a teacup, and teapot. Just look at the detail on her hand painted face. She is just under 8 inches tall, and 4.25 inches across at the widest point. There is some paint wear, especially on the rim of her bonnet, around her face. These are smooth to the touch, and NOT chips in the pottery. Truly a rare addition to a collection if vintage Black Americana, or German pottery. Marked on the back, "Germany", and incised in the mold is, "J.M. 7197".
