I purchased these, and other, vintage, flat sliced, Lucite bracelets from the original box they were shipped in. They had been stored, unopened, for many years. The original packing slip was in the box, stating that they were Lucite, and dated 1951. I bought them because I love Bakelite, and wear it all the time. Bakelite is available in limited colors. Because of the formula used to make true, American Bakelite, pink changed to orange, black to blue, white to yellow, and so on. I was happy to find these different color Lucite bracelets to mix with my Bakelite. The inside diameter is 2&1/2 inches, like all true, vintage Bakelite bracelets, and they fit well when worn together. Unlike Bakelite, Lucite doesn't "patina" (change color). I have several different colors, and styles in my shop, and you can see them all by typing the word "Lucite" in the search box at top, left hand side of this page. This pair is an iridescent orange color. They can be worn separately, or mixed as spacers. Each is 1/4 inch wide.
I currently have several pieces of vintage plastic jewelry in my shop, including Bakelite, and am happy to combine shipping. To see them all, type, "jewelry", or "plastic jewelry" in the California Girls search box at the top of the page.
If you are ordering more than 1 item from my shop, wait to pay until I send back an invoice with the combined shipping discount.
