Good size, 1920s, metal inkwell that is silver colored finish over brass. It measures 3 & 1/2 inches tall to the top of the lady's head that forms a part of the hinged lid. It's 4 inches ta the widest point, and 6 inches deep. There is NO glass insert. You can see in the photos that there is some surface wear to the silver plating, and a lot of verdigris oxidation on the underside of the lid. I haven't cleaned or polished it, preferring to leave it as it was found. A striking piece on any desk, or in a collection of vintage inkwells. Looks to be French, to me, but there are no marks.
I currently have other vintage inkwells in my shop, and am happy to combine shipping. To see them, please type, "inkwell" in the California Girls search box at the top of the page.
If you are ordering more than 1 item from my shop, wait to pay until I send back an invoice with the combined shipping discount.
