Highly sought after, vintage 1930s-40s pottery cookie jar that was sold by the National Silver Company. They did not make their own pottery, but sold and distributed it. This good looking chef is 10&1/2 inches tall, and displays well.. HOWEVER, there are some flaws. There are 2 chips that don't show when the lid/head is in place. One is on the inside lip of the jar, and the other on the inside lip of the head. Most notably is the tight, hairline crack that you can see in the photos on the front of the jar by the buttons on chef's left hand side. I have included several photos, including close ups of the flaws, and inside of the jar. These flaws have been taken into consideration, and are reflected in the low price. I apologize for the high shipping, but this weighs over 3 pounds, before careful packing.
