Vintage 1930s-40s souvenir hula girl doll that is 17 inches tall and has stitched fingers. This style was often made by the residents of the Leper Colony on Molokai, but there is no way to know if this is one of those dolls as there are no tags. The stitching, and padded bra make her different than many of the souvenir dolls from this period. She has hand painted facial features, and black, yarn hair. She is wearing a traditional hula outfit that includes a thinning. grass skirt, cotton undergarments and a crepe paper leis and flower in her hair. Great condition, with NO stains, split seams or musty odor.
