These are so interesting, and unlike anything I've seen before. They have bisque heads, bodies and jointed (with wire) bisque legs. Their arms are stiff fabric. The gentleman is 6&1/2 inches tall, and the lady is 6 inches. They have embedded wires in their heads, so could be used as ornaments on a Victorian decorated Christmas tree. They are hand painted. Their clothing has yellowed with age, and there are a few spots. As you can see in the photos, they have minor paint loss, and show age wear. The only major damage is that the tip of the woman's left foot is missing. These have no marks, but are very old. My guess is 1890s-1900. An unusual addition to your collection of vintage and antique dolls.
I currently have several vintage dolls in my shop, including many other bisque dolls, and am happy top combine shipping. You can see them all by typing "doll", or "bisque doll", in the California Girls search box at the top of this page
If you are ordering more than 1 item from my shop, wait to pay until I send back an invoice with the combined shipping discount.
